Section 8
Recommendation Committee
: (1) There will be a recommendation committee as follows to recommend names to the Prime Minister for the appointment or nomination of office bearers and members to be nominated in the Assembly:-
(a) Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation – Chairman
(b) Two persons appointed by the Prime Minister from among the famous people in the field of fine arts – members
(2) When recommending a name for nomination as a member of the assembly, the committee as per sub-section (1) shall recommend the name from among the persons who have studied and researched in the field of fine arts or who are famous in that field, as far as possible, representing various genres and fields of fine arts and including all castes, genders, and languages. .
(3) The committee under sub-section (1) when recommending names for the appointment of office bearers shall do so from among the nominated members of the assembly.
(4) The procedure to be followed in relation to the recommendations made by the committee under sub-section (1) shall be as determined by the said committee itself.
